Award Winning

Glenn Richard Treibitz is an accomplished composer, lyricist, playwright, pianist and businessman. Glenn won the grand prize of the American College Theater Festival for writing the Book, Music and Lyrics for the musical "Going On!" which had a run at the John F. Kennedy Center Terrace Theater in Washington, DC.  Glenn is also the recipient of an Arco Foundation Award, Dramatist Guild Award, Samuel French Award and a US Congressional Commendation.  Glenn has written six other musicals including “Mountain Music” which had a concert reading at the New School in New York, and “Being There” presented as a staged reading by the Encompass Musical Theater at New York’s famed Westside “Y”. Glenn wrote the book, music and lyrics for the  musical comedy, "Short Tenors And A Dead Soprano" which was performed in concert at the Provincetown Theater in Provincetown, MA, It had a reading in NYC featuring Susan Powel. It had two sold out runs in Seoul Korea and a concert reading at the Victory Theater in Los Angeles. Glenn is the composer of "For A Moment In Time" based on "A Kiss For Cinderella" by J.M. Barrie. This show had a recent reading at the Garry Marshall Theater in L.A. Glenn is an alumni of the Charles Strouse ASCAP and the Aaron Frankel New School Musical Theater workshops. 

Glenn wrote, arranged and musical-directed the annual “Travel Show” review at the New York Coliseum. He has played piano and conducted the orchestra during the Arthritis Telethon from the Ed Sullivan Theater, at New York's famed Roseland Ballroom for their Cabaret series, and nearly every Catskill Mountain resort, as well as resorts throughout, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. He has conducted for nightclubs and for a string of musicals. Glenn had the honor of composing the original songs with collaborator Susan Horowitz for the Yale University Theater Department's 125th anniversary celebration show.

In Los Angeles, Glenn co-produced and directed the First International New Age Music Festival with Susan Doucet at the Wiltern Theater.  He has served as musical director on television and radio programs and hosted and wrote the theme music for the popular weekly radio program "Piano Bar Tonight" on KIEV radio.   For more than 20 years Glenn had served as the Musical Director for the Hollywood Arts Council’s annual “Charlie Awards” show. 

Glenn had the privilege of writing, arranging, and playing piano for a show honoring the Grand Opening of the Fazioli Concert Hall in Sacile Italy.

Glenn is the owner and responsible for building one of the largest piano retail chains in the USA.
